Review written by: Jo Kreibich
For the September Moon Music, U3A welcomed back Max Hall for his second selection of his favourite music. The music chosen was music that had inspired him on his road to recovery following an unscheduled meeting with a vehicle on the Forrest Highway some years ago. It has proved a long and arduous journey and Max explained how, from being a person without any religious commitments before his accident, he has now “found Jesus” and his life is full of meaning.
Max’s first piece was called Pepper, described by Max as a work about suicide, followed by many songs in which religion appears more frequently, and ending with The Beatles singing Let It Be. In all a reflection of Max’s journey culminating in acceptance of what life is all about.
A truly remarkable afternoon which left us all feeling very humble. Well done Max and we wish you well in your journey.
